Red polka dot maxi dress with long sleeves, pointed collar and smocked bodice. I think the fabric may be clydella, or possibly viyella, which fits with the vintage and feel, but there are no tags so I can't be 100% certain. My mum is a textile artist who grew up in the correct era to know those fabrics and she believes it to be one of the two. This dress would fit a slim tallish person. I put it on the adjustable dressmakers dummy and adjusted it to fit, then took measurements. It measured 88cm bust, 73cm waist, 90cm hip and the length from the back of the neck to the bottom of the hem is 147cm. It is in excellent condition and I have washed it. I believe it was home made not commercially made, based on the seams (which are very well made, but not commercially done) and lack of tags.
