This postcard sized oil painting on board is signed B Curtis and Mrs B Curtis written on the back. She was a known Christchurch artist active in the mid to late 1900's who painted landscapes of areas of beauty in the south island. This one has Mt Talbot and a 6 digit phone number on the back. It is framed in a simple black preloved frame. There is slight discolouration of the mat but the painting and frame are in great condition. The original frame the painting came in, was damaged and in removing the painting some of the masking tape with writing on the back of the frame was damaged and not salvagable. Luckily I had taken photos!
